Specific O/S or application level checks can be configured centrally and then
sent out to the monitored host. The Agent Manager controls this interaction;
all scripts to be run on a specific host and their specific execution schedules
can be selected by the user. This will be covered in more detail in the System
Administration & Configuration section of this website.
Agents can be centrally deployed to run on the following servers:
- Windows
- AIX
- HP-UX
- Solaris
- Linux
Agent functionality includes, but is not limited to, checks for:
- Disk Utilisation
- System Services Status
- Database Connectivity
- Event Log Checks
- Log File Checks
- Script Execution
- Performance Checks
The Agent component of RedČAlert is fully configurable with the ability to
schedule multiple scripts or version of the scripts with differing parameters
on the same server at different dates or times, to allow for varying business
workloads and key dates - for example, month end.
